Learn how you can be a part of Good Shepherd’s Ministries by getting involved in any of programs we offer. No matter your experience, time, or availability, there are several opportunities for you to help serve God and others.
There is more to running a church than just what you see on Sundays. If you can spare 5 minutes or 5 hours a month, we have plenty of opportunities for you to help out with keeping the church running smoothly. If interested in helping out or would like to start your own ministry, contact us.
Greeters & Gift Bearers
Sample Duties: Welcome and greet visitors as they enter the Church. Then bring the Holy Sacraments to the Altar for Holy Communion.
Ushers
Sample Duties: Distribute bulletins for the Service, plus assist the Service with offering and communion.
Caring Team
Sample Duties: Provide services to our members for special occasions, those in need that may be homebound, bringing the Lord’s Supper to homebound, and other events.
Communion Assistants
Sample Duties: Assist the Pastor by pouring wine during the Holy Communion.
Property & Maintenance
Meet up every first Saturday at the church to help fix, build, and maintain the building inside and outside property.
Altar Guild
Sample Duties: Help setup the Sanctuary based on Seasons of the Church and Events.
Food Pantry
Sample Duties: Help organize and distribute food to needy families.
School Supplies
Sample Duties: Collect school supplies for many of our school teachers and staff to help offset costs of educating our children.
Adult Choir
Join our choir and praise God’s Love through song and hymns.
Tabitha's Backpack
Sample Duties: We collect meals for families who may not have enough. Based off the Tabitha who was known for her good works and acts of charity. ACTS 9
Children & Youth Activities
We offer different opportunities for children and families to grow in their faith and relationship with God throughout the year.
Support Groups
.Our Taylor-Keister Fellowship Hall offers a meeting venue for Support Groups and Charities with full industrial kitchen.
